This is only for parents (Ha ha ..!) Who want to protect their children against access to unwanted websites. It is easy to block. You do not need any software for that. You can ask me “why do I need this trick?” Because many browsers allow you to block websites. Yes, that is true. But if your child is technically smart, he can easily install another browser and access those sites. But this trick is done in the system so that it automatically encourages all browsers to block that site. This is the trick. You may be concerned about using these sections in your system, if you follow these steps carefully, it will work really well and there will be no problems. Windows uses a Hosts file to maintain a personal list of web addresses. The Hosts file is checked when a URL request is made. Go to the first C: Windows\System32\Driver\Etc  folder.

You can block the sites by adding entries to the Windows “Hosts” file and it is an editable file, so open it with notepad. At the bottom you can enter a line like this,  127.0.0.1 localhost Now type

a line like the one below, with the URL of the site you are about to block. 127.0.0.1 www.xyz.com

Open the hosts’ file with a text editor such as NotePad

You can block the sites by adding entries to the  Windows  “Hosts” file and it is an editable file, so open it with notepad.

At the bottom, you can see a row like this,

127.0.0.1 localhost

Now type a line as below, with the  URL  of the site you are about to block.

127.0.0.1 www.xyz.com

The number 127.0.0.1 is the  IP  address of the loopback of your own computer, so Windows skips the link to that site and continues.

So that website is permanently blocked in your system because the  DNS  for the website has been changed to 127.0.0.1 instead of the real DNS. You can also do this to prevent advertisements and spyware.
